Nigerian Art Music Project Concert

The Nigerian Art Music (NAM) Project is a music platform committed to the reawakening and Promotion of Nigerian Art Songs. The project will curate, record, and broadcast scores written by Nigerian composers in Nigerian languages, whilst also creating a compendium of Nigerian Art scores for easy accessibility the world over.

The Project also believes that Nigerian Art Music should be spread in our institutions of learning especially at the Primary and Secondary levels to build a sort of affinity to Nigerian languages and culture. NAM project will help to rejuvenate cultural identity while stemming cultural appropriation.

THE NIGERIAN ART MUSIC CONCERT SERIES

The Nigerian Art Music (NAM) Concert Series 1 is a concert that will showcase the works of Nigeria’s finest composers and industry best performers.

The NAM project Concert Series will hold this November in a two day concert event. There will be Live broadcast on YouTube at Nigerian Art Music Project.

This year’s event will feature works from the following African Art Composers and musicians;

  1. David Aina
  2. Bidemi Oyesanya
  3. Chinedum Osinigwe
  4. Alaba Akinselure
  5. Ayo Oluranti
  6. Ayo Ajayi
  7. Seun Owoaje

In addition, the Nigerian Art Music project 2020 will feature top-notch Nigerian performers like Nkiruka Andrew; Tope Olagunju; Titilope david; Elizabeth ; Seyi Ajibade; Bunmi Olanrewaju and two Choral groups namely, Voix Celestes Chorale and Voices & Chords.

WHAT IS THE NIGERIAN ART MUSIC CONCERT PROJECT ABOUT?

The main objective of the Nigerian Art Music Concert project is to bring Nigerian languages closer to the people, revive the African/Nigeria Arts and Culture, and create an export and tourism avenue for the Nation.

NAM is here to give you a soothing relief while you enjoy beautiful Nigerian art songs composed by some of Nigeria’s prolific composers.

Date: Day 1 event will hold on 7th November 2020 while Day 2 event will hold 21st of November 2020
Time: 7pm
Venue: YouTube (live broadcast)
