All is now set for the maiden edition of the Naija Choral Music Festival 2020 scheduled to hold in the city of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
The Naija Choral Music Festival 2020 (NCMFEST) is an annual one-day festival of Music and Arts geared towards celebrating the culture of choral music performances of indigenous Nigerian songs. The Choral Festival was founded by Ebe Samson Oladosu to promote the culture of choral music in Nigeria. The festival provides a venue for choral groups to perform. This edition will features other arts like drama, dance and comedy.
WHO WILL PERFORM AT THE NAIJA CHORAL MUSIC FESTIVAL?
This year’s edition will feature performances from different chorale groups and choirs in Kwara State, some of which are;
- D-Ilorin City Chorale
- The PFA Chorale, Kwasu
- The St. Cecilia Choir, Stacc, Unilorin
- The PFA Chorale, Unilorin.

The Naija Choral Music Festival 2020 scheduled to hold as follows;
Date: Sunday 5th April, 2020
Venue: Peace Hall, behind Rhema Chapel, Tanke, Ilorin.
The 2020 edition holding in Ilorin, Kwara State is the maiden edition. Plans to host the Naija Choral Music Festival across other cities in Nigeria is already in motion.
The convener of The Naija Choral Music Festival is Ebe Samson Oladosu. Samson is an ardent lover of choral/classical music who is determined to make choral music receive more recognition in Nigeria. A performing arts graduate (B.A, M.A) from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria.
Samson is also the visioneer, co-founder and current Music Director of D-Ilorin City Chorale, a singing group based in the city of Ilorin. He is a full time classical music performer, and has performed pieces from Handel’s Messiah, Joshua, Judas Maccabeus, Esther, and a host of other classical pieces. He is currently a lecturer of (Performing Arts) Music at Lead City University, Ibadan. In addition, he is also the Music Director of the Cathedral Church of St Barnabas, Ilorin.
